Independent shops and small retailers
Websites for independent shops
An online shop from Bath IT costs £995 on top of the site build, from £495. Card checkout through Stripe, stock, orders and click and collect, with no platform taking a cut of each sale.
What you get
Your shop, open when the door is shut
An independent shop does not need a marketplace or a platform charging monthly apps on top. It needs its own site, with its own products, that the owner can keep up to date between customers.
Prices
What this kind of site costs
Prices are fixed and published on our prices page. The shop add-on includes the catalogue. Here is how a few shop sites add up.
Example | To build | Then |
|---|---|---|
5-page site with a product catalogue, no checkout | £495 + £295 = £790 | £100 a year |
10-page site with an online shop | £895 + £995 = £1,890 | from £30 a month |
20-page site with an online shop | £1,295 + £995 = £2,290 | from £30 a month |
A site that takes payments runs on the Business plan, from £30 a month. Moving an existing site is £300 extra. There is no contract and no exit fee. More on what every site includes is on our websites page.
Why Bath IT
Shops we have built
Bath IT is Gary Blake, at 44 Bristol Road in Radstock. He has done hands-on technical work since 1996, and builds, hosts and secures every site himself. When you ring 07376 947 411, you talk to the person who built your site.
We built a mail-order wool catalogue for Guernsey Wool, an online wellbeing shop for Aurora Hope, and a food marketplace for UmmYeah with accounts, ordering and payments. Each one is run day to day by its owner.
You get the same people for the build, the hosting and any question about an order.
